Party finger foods and cocktails are not only tasty and pleasing to the eye, they are also simple and easy to prepare. Here are recipes of several menus party planner Jung Ji-su recommends for year-end gatherings at your home.

Tomato Bruschetta

Ingredients:

8 baguette slices, 8 cherry tomatoes, 2Tbsps diced onion, 1Tbsp sugar, 2Tbsps white wine vinegar, 2Tbsps olive oil, 4 basil leaves, a pinch of salt and pepper

Method:

1. Sprinkle olive oil on baguette slices and toast them in a pan.

2. Slice the cherry tomatoes into four pieces and chop basil leaves.

3. Mix the olive oil, white wine vinegar, diced onions, sugar, salt and pepper.

4. Mix the cherry tomato pieces in the dressing and add the basil.

5. Pile the mixture on the baguette slices.

Spanish mushrooms

12 champignon mushrooms, 1 apple, 1 cup red wine, 1Tbsp sugar, baby leaf greens

1. Pour a little water into a heated pan and cook the mushrooms. Remove mushroom stems.

2. Dice the apple into cubes.

3. Put the apple cubes, red wine and sugar in another pan and let the mixture simmer.

4. Place the baby leaf greens on the plates, put the mushrooms on top and pile with simmered apple mixture.

Champagne cocktail

1/4 cup champagne, 1/4 cup apple juice, 1/4 sugar-free soda, apple and orange slices

1. Mix the champagne, apple juice, apple and orange slices and chill in refrigerator.

2. Add the soda when served.

Champagne party punch

1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 2 cups sugar free apple juice, 2 cups pineapple juice, 1/2 cup lemon juice, diced apple and pineapple, quartered lemon slices, champagne, ginger ale

1. Put water and sugar in a large pitcher and stir until sugar dissolves.

2. Add apple juice, pineapple juice and lemon juice.

3. Chill in refrigerator and add champagne, ginger ale and diced fruit when served.
