Dress up in autumn style

Listen

By Kim Yeon-soo

With Korea’s infamously hot summer and rainy season now over, it’s time for a change in your wardrobe.

The key words for this fall are comfy, red and graphics. With those words in mind, here are W’s suggestions.

Khaki ZAN Dress. Tommy Hilfiger 325,000 won Black CIAMBAVE Wedge Sneakers. ALDO 138,000 won Stone Leather Ring Set. studio.K (Beaker) 99,000 won

COMFY

This season, dresses don’t always have to go with those 6-inch kill-heels by Christian Louboutin.

Stay comfortable, yet stylish, with a pair of unique sneakers.

Dress up or down with casual, yet flashy, sneaker wedge heels and you need not worry how to match the perfect pair of shoes to a dress. Wear stackable accessories to add color to the outfit. Fancy rings or bangles will bring the style up a notch.

Navy Wave Rain Coat. studio.K (Beaker) 219,000 won Indian Pink/Brown Scarf. Grienich (Beaker) 98,000 won Red OCARIA Pumps. ALDO 118,000 won

RED / GRAPHICS

What’s fall fashion without a trench coat? Despite the popularity of this item, however, it’s not the easiest to pull off.

This season’s trench coats aren’t the usual variety of brown hues. Darker colors such as khaki and navy are in stores for this fall. Try matching them with catchy colors like red, which is one of the fashion key words for the season. Vivid-colored accessories will accentuate monotone and classic trench coats.

You can wear a trench coat as a dress and skip the tedious process of choosing which bottom to go with a top. Wear a one-piece dress under the coat with stockings, and tie the belt around the coat. The trench coat itself will look like a dress.

Wrap a printed scarf around the neck with a matching pair of red heels, and you’re off to go.
