NHN, the operator of the country’s biggest portal Naver, has launched a childcare information service in the health service category of its mobile Web.
The contents, offered at https://m.health.naver.com/infa ntCare/list.nhn, include taking care of newborns, breast and formula feeding, solid food for babies, other information on childcare, vaccinations and medical exams, and information on disease and safety. It advises parents on how to deal with the diseases often found in babies.
The information is provided by Ha Jeong-hun, a podiatrist and author of the “Bbibbo Bbibbo 119 Pediatrics,” the most popular book on childcare in the country.
NHN explained that it launched the service on the mobile Web first so that parents can easily check it in emergencies. It added that it would soon offer the service on desktops.
“We are offering the medically proved childcare information to guide the parents into the right way in childcare,” a spokesperson for NHN said.
