Superstar K, the Korean version of American Idol, or Britain’s Got Talent, ended last month after rocking the nation with heated competition and lots of feedback from the viewers.
It may have been just an individual nation’s event, but having one contestant, John Park, who made it to the top 24 on American Idol, also participating in Superstar K, it drew nation-wide attention and the comparison between Park and the other leading contestant, Huh Gak has been made about their different life stories.

Park and Huh seem to be opposites in many ways, their personal lives, singing style, appearance, and fan base.
I had the chance to meet Paul Potts, British pop opera tenor who won the first series of “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2007, and was able to read his face and saju, when he visited Korea last month.

Although Potts has been through much hardship from his youth and struggled to achieve what he longed for, which is to sing, by never giving up and working hard from the bottom up, when I read his face and saju, I was able to see the answer why.
Potts was born with yang fire energy that is represented by the sun, which was clouded by the earth energies of his year and month branches. The situation was like the sun shaded by the cloud and kept in dormancy until he reached his late thirties.
However he has abundant fire energy in his saju and cannot hide his aspiration in the cave any more.
When I read his face, I found sincerity was still showing in his face, which won’t stop continuing his expression of talents. However his interpersonal skills may not be fluent enough to handle the dynamic environment of his career path, according to the reading of his eyebrows.
On the other hand, Park was born with yin metal energy that was represented by jewelry.
A similar condition is found here about the strength of the day master, metal, that it is surrounded by abundant metal energy. The knowledge star, earth, strengthens the day master more on top of the other self metals.
However, there seems nothing to shed the shadows on the life path of the metal day master.
According to the saju, Park is able to find his own fate cycle in his early age without having much adversity compared to others.
Park’s own will to achieve his goal is still the major factor in the course of the path and his interpersonal skills and competence to cope with problems are also superior.
His talents, the expression star of water energy are hidden in the year branch (yang earth). This denotes the fact that he’s got natural born talents, which need to be unearthed either by other metal (shovel) or by water (to wash the dust off) . There is a saying that metal surrounded by too much earth is like buried treasure. So Park would have to keep cultivating his talents and needs to appear more in public. Although he has innate potential to express himself as a well wrapped gift, he still needs to train to show the true beauty of his day master.
He will face lots of challenges both in a positive and negative way in the coming year (2011)
