James Cameron is the writer and director of ``Titanic'' (1997) and ``Avatar'' (2009), which are the two highest-grossing films in global movie sales records. On top of the world-breaking records and numerous awards, Avatar has created a significant impact on the film, TV and game industries as a whole, based on its innovative integration of 3D and smooth visuals.

A turning point in history is often triggered by a person or by a masterpiece that changes perspectives. It would be

interesting if we could look into the fate of that person and that critical moment in time. Perhaps by doing so, we will be able to garner some hints as to whether the ripples of the effect are the result of intentional elaboration or simply the product of great ambition.

Cameron figuratively declared himself the ``King of the World'' when ``Titanic'' won 11 Oscars at the 1998 Academy Awards. And his tenacity and effort has made ``Avatar'' the most influential film in the world in 2009 and 2010. Cameron's influence extends far beyond his movie credits. During his first visit to Korea for the Seoul Digital Forum, he confirmed his influence once more to the crowds there.

Now let's see what made him so powerful and how his vision could extend so far in the industry by looking at his saju.

He was born August 16, 1954.

He was born with the energy of yang wood, which is represented by large trees. Yang wood carries the traits for growth, progression and expansion. His month branch is assigned to metal, which will dominate his life path.

When put to physical, natural forces, the element of metal is like an ax that chops the wood to create practical resources. In this way, the career star presents power to a day master when it is utilized well. However the power of metal has the ability to turn a wood day master into a cruel dictator. The wood day master tends to be afraid of the metal power, as too much strength in the latter can damage the wood. To counterbalance the other elements, the wood tries to be powerful itself. Though the instincts of the metal element could have had unfortunate effects on Cameron's saju, the fire element next to it helped control the energy.

The presence of water energy in the month stem circulates the metal energy instead of hurting the day master. The metal (career star) eventually earns him honor (his knowledge star is water).

The director experienced hardships in his youth, though he was talented. This contrast is explained by his year pillar - wood and fire. The wood was burnt by the fire, but as the man grew older, the more powerful he became, nourished by the earth energy.

While the elements in his saju all containing yang suggests an extroverted personality, he is restrained by the metal career star, which is then balanced by the fire expression star.

When Cameron produces something, it is not a product simply of his talents, but of the exhaustive studies and efforts he pursued to reach that perfection. This can also be translated into his professional work: He is not just an artistic director, but an inventor, planner and executor. He knows how to package his work so that they are highly recognizable by others.
