(73) Saju of Brittany Murphy

Listen

By Janet Shin

American actress Brittany Murphy died of a heart attack on Dec. 20, at the age of 32. She starred in films such as ``Clueless", ``Just Married," ``Uptown Girls," and ``8 Mile". The cause of her death is yet to be determined. While an autopsy was performed on Dec. 21, full results will not be available for several weeks. Experts are examining her medical records and toxicology reports.

This year there were several celebrities who died, through accidents or by other causes. Since their deaths, reports about their personal lives have surfaced. Some were about financial problems, others about mental breakdowns or issues related to their spouses.

Murphy was laid to rest in the Hollywood Hills on Christmas Eve, with friends and family recalling the late actress' life and work. ``A bright light that lit the world is forever dimmed, but will live on in the hearts of those that Brittany touched," her family said, in a statement.

Now let's see what happened to her life from the perspective of saju.

She seemed to have suffered a string of career setbacks.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1977 and her saju is as follows:

As usual, looking at her day master (sin metal), we can see that she was born with the energy of yin metal (white), which represents the properties of jewelry or knife, in the month of yin water (hae - black), or her expression star.

We judge that the sin metal (jewelry) combined with im water (yang water) and byeong fire (yang fire ― brightness) can be a beautiful celebrity who attracts the spotlight and the love of people.

She has both im (in the inclusion of hae ― month branch) and sa (in the inclusion of sa ― year branch). Just by reading a person's saju, we can imagine whether the person is beautiful or not.

Hae is her expression star, from which we can see the talents she was born with. Her career star is Sa (red), which shows she may have gotten public recognition at her early age. If she had byeong fire at any of her stems, it would have been great, but instead, she has jeong fire at the year stem. Byeong is brightness such as stage lighting, while jeong is burning fire. For people represented by sin metal, byeong and jeong have opposite influences. Byeong is definitely welcomed to brighten the beauty of the jewel, while jeong has to be removed since it might melt down the metal. It is regretful that she shows jeong instead of byeong fire.

As we have learned, there is a clash between sa and hae (red and black), which means there is a conflict between Murphy's expression and career stars, similar to water and fire conflicting with each other. She achieved social success at an early age, but a collapse also arrived early, which could be a major cause of her personal suffering.

In regards to mi earth (knowledge star) in her day branch, it is the only element supporting sin metal. Her parents, Sharon Murphy and Angelo Bertolotti, divorced when she was two years old, and Murphy was raised by her mother. Murphy considered her mother a crucial factor in her success.

Unfortunately, this year, gi-chuk, there occurred a clash between chuk and mi clash. She lost, or at least experienced damage to, her knowledge star.

Now, here is the saju of another person who has experienced painful affairs.

Below is the saju of Kang Byung-kyu, a Korean baseball player-turned-television-host. There have been rumors that Kang introduced actor Lee Byung-hun to a woman who later filed a case against the actor allegedly due to pressure from Kang. He had also been condemned for his habitual gambling through an online gambling Web site and was forced to quit hosting several programs.

We can see the same day master, sin metal, and a sa-hae clash (between day and month branch). In 2008, the year of mu-ja, sa fire (career star) had been totally extinguished by the flourishing water power (black). There are some influences of money (green) in this case.

It can be difficult to watch the continuous misfortune of a person. Such cases are sometimes caused by the impermanent cause of a certain year.
