(29) Ten Relations (10 Stars) in Your Saju

This week we begin studying the ten stars, one of the most exciting aspects of the study of saju, though requiring diligent effort to memorize yin and yang, the five elements, the 10 stems and the 12 branches.

However, once you understand the ten stars, you will be able to read the fate of your friends, parents, siblings, spouse, children and others in terms of business, money, career and knowledge. The magic in reading the specifics of fate comes from understanding the 10 stars. Studying and classifying them is rather perfunctory work, so you needn't worry.

First of all, we need to classify the stars in relation with a day stem (day master).

1.Friend star (parallel)

― brother and sisters Same element as the day stem, and divided into two: yin friend star and yang friend star.

2.Expression star (output)

― son and daughters for a woman An element nourished by the day stem and divided into the yin expression star and yang expression star.

3.Money star (wealth)

― wife for a man and father for men and women Restrained by the day stem and divided into the yin money star and yang money star.

4.Career star (power)

― husband for a woman, son and daughters for a man The element that restrains the day stem and divided into the yin career star and yang career star.

5.Knowledge star (resource)

― mother The element that nourishes the day stem and is divided into the yin knowledge star and yang knowledge star.

Here is a saju that tells us someone's 10 stars. The subject is a man born in 1972 (ja-rat) in the 11th month of the lunar calendar at 4 p.m.

After he was concieved, his father passed away before he was born. His mother raised him by herself without remarrying. He has two sisters and is a computer programmer.

Although the water energy (im and ja water) is excessive in his saju, it's the base point where he was born and raised. His mother had to work hard to support her family. So while she was working, her sisters took care of him. We can see many mother stars in his saju. Actually, he has six aunts who helped his mother during his childhood. His family was not rich economically, but his mother was strong enough to raise three children until they grew up. We see im water (mother star) rooted in ja water with enough power to survive.

Even though ja water tried to nourish wood (her son) to grow, it was not enough because he doesn't have earth to take root in. He is neither tall nor fat. He doesn't seem so strong in his appearance. He is patient and scrupulous. We cannot see any earth elements in his saju, even in the inclusion of the branches. Wood restrains earth, which is his father and money star, meaning he has never had a father. He is working for many companies as has lots of career stars in his day and time branches.

We're can hereby see that we're able to read the family background of a person by analyzing his or her saju, though it may be just one extreme example to explain family and career relations. Actually, in most saju, we need to use our experience and imagination to infer the specific factors that influence one's fate. It requires constant effort to read fate correctly, but studying saju columns one by one will make it easy for you to make your own reading. Enjoy your journey exploring every aspect of life.
