Joan K. Rowling’s eighth Harry Potter book, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” was released simultaneously worldwide on Sunday.
The release date had been set for July 31 to commemorate the birthdays of Harry Potter and Rowling.
The book picks up 19 years after “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 1),” was published in July 2007. Part 2 was published in 2010.
Potter, now in his 30s, is working at the Ministry of Magic, and his eldest son Albus is entering Hogwarts.
Fans worldwide waited hours for the midnight book release.
Rowling says there will be no more Harry Potter books.
The book can be bought at online book stores or at book stores.
