More Koreans are looking for help in developing themselves.

According to online retailer Interpark, sales of personal development books have gone up 22.3 percent every month over the past three months.

Such guides have also made up 33 percent of the 30 best-selling books.

People in their 30s and 40s accounted for the largest portion of sales, 73 percent, the company said.

Books on life attitude, in particular, were the most popular category, making up 48.7 percent of the total.
