Roh Moo-hyun, The Last interview

Asked to identify the greatest achievement of his presidency, the late former President Roh Moo-hyun simply replied: ``being elected as the President.''

During the 2002 presidential election, Roh drew strong support from Internet users who rooted for him on various Web sites. At the center of his support in the cyber world was online newspaper OhmyNews.

OhmyNews president Oh Yeon-ho, 46, conducted a series of intensive interviews with Roh in the fall of 2007, now available in book form. They took place about seven months before his resignation.

The interviews, which were conducted over three days ― two in September and one in October - ran for about four to five hours each.

After posting the interviews on the OhmyNews Web site, requests were made for them to be published in book form.

Roh's epitaph reads: ``The last bastion of democracy is the organized power of citizens who are awake.'' Why has this sentence been engraved in his gravestone? Readers will be able to find the answer to this and other questions in the book.
