Actor-turned-artist Park Ki-woong to hold second exhibition

Since his debut as an artist three months ago, actor Park Ki-woong will hold his second weeklong solo exhibition, “Ki. Park - Re:+,” his agency Mountain Movement Management announced Monday.

A total of 33 artworks, with all but one already sold, will be showcased at the Bubble Lounge and Bar at the L7 Myeongdong Hotel in central Seoul from June 19 to 26.

After majoring in fine arts in college, Park has tried to imbue his works with his own interpretation of the wide range of performance, expression and emotion that he has achieved in his acting career. A series of colorful portraits ― including works painted in a style reminiscent of his award-winning signature piece, “Ego” ― will be on display.

The actor-turned-artist announced his artistic debut at his first exhibition, held at a luxury duty-free shop. With this second show, held at a hotel frequented by families and tourists on vacation, viewers will have a chance to easily approach and appreciate his paintings, his agency noted.

Park currently hosts the live online talk show, “Park Ki-woong's Culture Live,” on Naver Shopping Live, where he also presented a collaborative piece done with the epic live-drawing master, Kim Jung-gi.

Since his film debut in 2005, the actor has made a name for himself starring in hit television series and movies, such as “The Slave Hunters,” “Bridal Mask” and “Secretly Greatly.”
