Dong Bang Shin Gi, one of South Korea's top pop idol groups and also known as TVXQ, put on a successful performance in Nanjing, China, Saturday to cheers from more than 20,000 ardent fans.
At the concert entitled ``Mirotic in Nanjing,'' the five-member group sang such hit songs as ``Mirotic,'' ``Wrong Number,'' ``Crazy Love,'' ``Rising Sun,'' ``Purple Line'' and ``Hug,'' all of which are on the group's fourth album.
SM Entertainment, the group's management company, said fans responded fanatically to TVXQ's first performance in Nanjing. It was also the first overseas concert on the group's third concert tour, according to Yonhap News agency.
The Chinese fans sang together in Korean while wielding red luminous batons that stand for TVXQ, wearing hair bands, like South Korean fans. The five members _ Xiah, Micky, Hero, Max and U-know _ got a standing ovation for nearly 10 minutes after their performance.
SM Entertainment said a number of fake entrance tickets appeared due to a number of fans failing to secure tickets.
