Prepare for a mysterious Friday night with the opening of The Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel's new show ``Gypsy Moon'' in Seoul.
Produced by the Australia-based Dion and Randall Productions, the show has original and exotic features that include a pantomime illusion, motorcycle stunts and dances.
Debuting in 2006, the show ran for two years at a hotel on the Gold Coast, Australia, to rave reviews.
Famed French mime Albert Roubaud will perform the mind-boggling ``La Statue.'' He is one of only five people in the world who can pull off this incredible act, where he shows himself as a statue with two heads.
``Globe of Death'' will continue the excitement with exhilarating stunts. Five professional motorcyclists will present a Brazilian daredevil stunt inside a globe cage.
Next comes a powerful Georgian dance performance by eight hunky male dancers from the former Soviet Republic.
Twelve female dancers from Australia will provide the finale.
Throughout its 45-year history, the Walkerhill Theater has presented fans with numerous shows and events, starting with ``Las Vegas on Ice'' in 1978 and ``Odyssey'' in 2005 and finally its most recent show, ``Zephora.''
For foreign guests, the theater will present the traditional Korean show ``The Great Feast'' before ``Gypsy Moon.'' Under the theme ``East Meets West,'' the Korean show will feature traditional Korean acts and culture.
Tickets range in price from 70,000 to 130,000 won, and special package tickets are between 130,000 and 150,000 won. The special tickets include dinner at one of the hotel's restaurants: Ondal, Golden Dragon, Kiyomizu, The View, Del Vino, Starlight and Myongwolgwan.
Women who purchase a ticket between Friday and Sept. 10 will receive a Swarovski cell phone chain made of crystal.
The show will continue for 40 weeks with eight shows a week. For more information, call (02) 455-5000 or click www.walkerhill.co.kr
