Famous Korean actor Park Hae-jin has had his generosity repaid.

On Monday, Shanghai Baby’s Home, which provides medical care to orphans, said one of its children had a successful liver transplant thanks to Park’s cash donation.

“I feel proud and thankful,” Park said.

In April, Park gave the home the proceeds of a fan meeting that celebrated the 10th anniversary of his debut.

“Park has been supporting children in need of special care for four years, and most of them have survived major surgeries,” Park’s agency, Mountain Movement Management, said. “We are hoping that everything goes well this time too.”

Park has been donating to other social causes for years, including 50 million won ($45,000) to families of Sewol ferry accident victims and 100 million for a welfare center in Guryong village.
