Seoul Library holds book bench exhibit

Seoul Metropolitan Library is exhibiting 10 artistically inspired benches through October as part of the exhibition "Public Art with Book Benches," the Seoul Metropolitan Government said Monday.

The exhibition features benches shaped as books under the theme's keywords, "public art" and "books." The library hopes the exhibition will boost public interest in reading. Visitors can sit on the artistic benches.

Ten artists contributed their artwork for the exhibition, including artists Kang Joo-ri and Lee Jeong-yoon.

The exhibited artwork will be donated to Seoul's public libraries after the show.
