Romanian crowned Miss Bikini

Miss Romania Diana Irina Boanca won the 35th Miss Bikini International World in Sanya, an island province of Hainan, off southeastern China. The 22-year-old college senior beat 64 contestants, taking the Miss Bikini title and an $8,000 prize at the close of the pageant on May 29.

"I am so excited that I do not know what to say. All the contestants are very strong and I must say I am so lucky to win," said Boanca.

Four other contestants received awards as well. Kasey-Lee Brunker from Australia was chosen as Miss Spring, Luna Ramos from Venezuela as Miss Summer, Zhao Qian from China as Miss Autumn, and Diana Kubasova from Latvia as Miss Winter

It was fourth time China has held the Miss Bikini contest.

'미스 비키니 월드'에 22세 여대생

제35회 미스 비키니 인터내셔널 월드' 대회에서 루마니아 대표로 출전한 디아나 이리나 보앙카(22)가 왕관을 머리에 썼다.

30일(현지시간) 영국 타블로이드 신문 더 선에 따르면 29일 중국 하이난성(海南省) 싼야(三亞)에서 왕관을 거머쥔 보앙카는 현재 대학 4학년이라고.

63명의 다른 경쟁자를 물리치고 우승한 보앙카는 "너무 기뻐 무슨 말을 해야 할지 모르겠다"며 "운이 좋았던 것 같다"고 밝혔다.

호주의 케이지 리 브런커, 베네수엘라의 루나 라모스, 중국의 자오찬, 라트비아의 디아나 쿠바소바가 각각 '미스 봄', '미스 여름', '미스 가을', '미스 겨울'을 차지했다.

이번 대회 참가자는 모두 64명. 이들의 경합은 열흘 동안 이어졌다.

중국이 '미스 비키니 인터내셔널 월드' 대회를 개최한 것은 이번이 네 번째다.

'미스 비키니 인터내셔널 월드' 대회는 1972년 미국 할리우드에서 처음 개최됐다.
