Jim Carrey Marriage Ended

According to Reuters, actors Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy ended their five-year relationship by announcing the split on their Twitter pages on Tuesday.

"Jenny and I have just ended our (five-year) relationship," Carrey wrote on Twitter. "I'm grateful (for) the many blessings we've shared and I wish her the very best!"

McCarthy, 37, was equally amicable, writing that she was grateful for their time together, and would "always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart."

In recent years, Carrey and McCarthy entered the emotional debate about the causes of autism, strenuously defending medical researchers who believed the disease was caused by vaccines. McCarthy's son Evan was diagnosed with the disease in 2005, a disclosure that strained her first marriage to actor/director John Asher.

짐캐리는 소셜미디어 사이트인 트위터에 "제니와 나는 (5년) 결혼생활에 종지부를 찍었다. 우리가 함께한 수많은 축복의 시간에 감사하고, 그녀에게 행운을 빈다"고 적었다.

맥카시도 함께한 시간에 감사하다는 우호적인 의사를 표했으며, "항상 짐은 내 마음 속 중요한 남자로 남을 것"이라고 언급했다.

최근에 캐리와 맥카시는 자페증의 원인이 백신과 관련됐다는 의학적 연구를 강력하게 지지했으며, 현재 맥카시는 첫 번째 결혼에서 낳은 자폐증 아들이 있다.
