N.K. must rescind, give assurance not to repeat unjust Kaesong action: minister

South Korea's unification minister said Wednesday that North Korea must rescind all actions that led to the temporary shutdown of a joint industrial park on its soil and give assurances that a similar problem would not recur.

In a meeting with senior ruling Saenuri Party lawmakers at the National Assembly, Ryoo Kihl-jae said North Korea needs to clearly make known its views on the legitimate issues being raised.

"The North's position will be an important indicator of whether or not the Kaesong Industrial Complex becomes a sustainable and predictable element in cross-border relations," he said.
