Korea has offered to invest more than 3.1 billion Canadian dollars ($2.23 billion) to build hydrogen trucks and charging stations using Hyundai Motor technology to sweeten its bid to win a submarine contract, Canada's CTV news reported citing Seoul's presidential envoy.
Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean is in competition with Germany's TKMS in a tender to supply Canada with a new fleet of submarines, estimated by industry sources to be worth more than $12 billion.
