ProColombia Korea, the commercial office of the Colombian Embassy in Seoul, said it successfully concluded its official participation in Cafe Show Seoul 2025, held Nov. 19–22 at Coex.
Colombia operated its national pavilion in Coex Hall C, showcasing the country’s coffee industry with seven leading exporters. The pavilion highlighted Colombia’s production capacity, flavor diversity and export competitiveness across regions and processing methods.
According to ProColombia, an estimated 900 to 1,000 visitors stopped by the Colombia Pavilion over the four-day exhibition, including professional buyers, industry officials and media representatives. Interactive cupping sessions allowed attendees to sample beans by origin and processing type, offering a hands-on demonstration of Colombia’s specialty-grade quality and contributing to high visitor satisfaction.
The seven participating companies held a combined 72 B2B meetings during the show. Consultations involved coffee importers, roasteries, franchise operators, F&B brands and major retailers, covering a broad range of topics such as supply agreements, co-development projects and new product launches. Several exporters scheduled follow-up meetings and sample testing during the event, signaling meaningful business momentum, ProColombia said.
ProColombia noted a sharp rise in investment-related inquiries compared with last year. Visitors sought information on farm development, production infrastructure, long-term supply contracts and direct-sourcing partnerships — a trend the office said reflects growing market confidence in Colombian coffee and its long-term potential in Korea.
The office said its participation in the show helped it identify emerging consumer trends and structural changes in Korea’s coffee market, supporting its plans to strengthen strategic partnerships and expand exports across Asia. Colombia’s coffee sector maintains global competitiveness, backed by stringent quality-control systems and year-round production stability across both specialty and commercial segments.
“Cafe Show Seoul 2025 was an important platform to demonstrate the innovation and sustainability of Colombia’s coffee industry to the Korean market,” said Shirley Vega, Commercial Attaché at ProColombia Korea. “Based on the partnership interest and investment inquiries confirmed during the exhibition, we will continue deepening business cooperation between our two countries.”
