2023 Korea Times Forum

The Korea Times will host a forum on the ROK-U.S. Alliance on June 20 at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul.

The timely event comes as South Korea and the United States celebrate the 70th anniversary of their alliance this year, while geopolitical risks are growing as economic and political conflicts between the United States and China are heightening, further compounded by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

This event will provide an opportunity to take a close look at where the alliance stands now and share perspectives on ways to develop it further.

The first session will address the state of the ROK-U.S. alliance. In the second session, panelists will discuss space cooperation between the two nations.

Second Vice Foreign Minister Lee Do-hoon and Vice Defense Minister Shin Beom-chul will deliver keynote speeches.

Simultaneous interpretation will be available.
