The ASEAN-Korea Centre will hold a meeting on June 25 to share President Moon Jae-in's New Southern Policy aimed at boosting relations with ASEAN countries.

Eight officials from ASEAN's Committee of Permanent Representatives in Indonesia have been invited to the meeting.

They are Norng Sakal of Cambodia, Ade Padmo Sarwono of Indonesia, Ekkaphab Phanthavong of Laos, Dato Shariffah Norhana BT Syed Mustaffa of Malaysia, Min Lwin of Myanmar, Elizabeth Buensuceso of the Philippines, Tan Hung Seng of Singapore and Nguyen Hoanh Na of Vietnam.

They will be joined by Brunei Ambassador to Korea Dato Paduka Haji Modh Rosli Bin Haji Sabtu and Deputy Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN Kittisak Klomchit.

ASEAN-Korea Centre Secretary-General Lee Hyuk and Deputy Minister for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yoon Soon-gu will attend, too.

President Moon proposed the New Southern Policy in 2017, and vowed to strengthen Korea's relationship with ASEAN to the same level as the four stakeholders of the Korean Peninsula _ the United States, China, Japan and Russia.
