China has reported two more imported cases of the Zika virus, bringing the number of diagnosed Zika infections to five in mainland China, according to the country's health authorities on Wednesday.
A 38-year-old man and his eight-year-old son from Yiwu City in China's eastern Zhejiang province were confirmed to have been infected by the Zika virus after traveling to Fiji and Samoa, China's National Health and Family Planning Commission said in a statement.
China confirmed its first case of an imported Zika infection earlier this month and there have been no cases of the spread of the disease in mainland China.
In the statement, the Chinese health authorities said there is a low risk of spreading the virus.
The World Health Organization has declared the Zika virus outbreak a global emergency. (Yonhap)
