Another Korean couple have been murdered in the Philippines.
This brings to 10 the number of Koreans murdered in the nation this year, Yonhap news agency said Friday.
The latest victims, a man in his 50s and his wife in her 40s, were killed either Thursday night or Friday morning. The man was discovered with gunshot wounds inside a house in the Calabarzon region, on the outskirts of Manila. The woman was found dead outside the house.
Police reportedly did not find any trace of a break-in and thought the culprit might be among the victims’ acquaintances.
This is the first Korean murder since the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent an official to Manila on Sept. 23 to ask officials and police to increase safety for Korean residents and tourists.
