The Embassy of Switzerland organized an exhibition of paintings by Korean-born Swiss artist Yongsun Mazzucchellie at the embassy in Seoul on Sept. 18-20.
“Feeling Nature” presented some of the painter’s previous works using watercolors on oriental papers as well as new paintings where she added natural elements like plants and herbs to emphasize her deep feelings for nature.
Mazzucchelli, known for blending Oriental and Western cultural influences, left Korea in 1987 and has since lived in the U.S., Egypt, China, the U.K. and Switzerland.
Over the past 30 years, she has developed a unique style based on her training in China. The artist has held several exhibitions in the U.K. including the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Heathrow airport.
