Do the snowy Alps, delicious chocolate and finely made wristwatches call out to you in your sleep?

Is the neutral country of wealth and elegance your next destination?

If you are looking for information about a honeymoon or a backpack trip to Switzerland, Switzerland Tourism is launching a new smartphone application that will make your trip there so much more convenient and affordable.

The application, which will officially launch in mid-March, will offer prospective visitors potential destinations within the country; compose a tentative itinerary; and calculate the estimated amount of money required and a list of the best options in various price ranges.

Once you have arrived in Switzerland, the application will help you with locations and provide detailed background information about the places you are visiting.

All the services will be available in Korean for free.

In Europe, it has already been in service for almost a year, but it took them a year to launch it in Korean.

Simon Bosshard, director of the Asia-Pacific region at Switzerland Tourism, hoped the application will be convenient when they need to find information about traveling to and in Switzerland.

Contents for the app — photos and explanations — are quite amusing, which make them engaging and easily accessible.

The app will be available on the Swiss Tourism website www.myswitzerland.co.kr.

Among Korean tourists, the country is among the most preferred tour destinations.

It has particularly maintained its popularity as a honeymoon destination for newly-weds.

Bosshard’s said the breathtaking beauty of the nature and the mountain trails could be the main selling points.

The Swiss tourism organization, in an effort to nurture its Korean niche, offers special tour itineraries for future honeymooners.
