The Italian Cultural Institute in Seoul said it is organizing an international exhibition of illustrations at the Neverland Picturebook Museum in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, from Dec. 22 to Feb. 10, 2008 with Neverland, Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, Gyeonggi provincial government and the Kyungin Daily newspaper.
The exhibition will feature 446 illustrations by 85 artists, who were selected as the year's illustrators at the 2007 Bologna Children's Book Fair.
About 2,600 artists from 58 countries participated in the fair, known as the world's largest competition for illustrations, and 85 were selected as the year's illustrators including two Koreans.
The 41st annual fair is coming to Korea for the first time.
There will be various events for children to join such as making illustrations on Jan. 1, 19, 26 and Feb. 2. The exhibition will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and closed on Mondays.

The Embassy Staff Club, an association of Korean staff working at foreign embassies in Seoul, will hold a year-end meeting at the Lotte Hotel on Dec. 28.
Those who would like to join the monthly party should reserve early because only 80 seats will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
It costs 35,000 won to enjoy the party whose program will not be revealed until the event begins.
The association was founded in 1990 by several embassy staff with a view to enhancing more cooperation between them.

The China Cultural Center in Seoul said it is organizing a special lecture at its center on Dec. 22, on real estate in China.
Professor Park Jun-hee of Konkuk University's real estate department in Seoul will give the lecture at the request of the center. The center organized the lecture because of Koreans' interest in real estate investment in China.

The Canadian Embassy in Seoul and the Green Foundation will organize a seminar ``Canada and Korea Address Changes in Climate'' at the embassy today with the support of the Seoul metropolitan government.
The seminar is designed to raise awareness of climate change issues among the Korean public and young environmentalists, the embassy said.
There will be two sessions ― a story about climate change and a film screening of ``Great Warming.''
The Korea Green Awards and a discussion on the film will be held after the seminar.
