Vietnam Korea-Vietnam Art Exchange

A Korea-Vietnam contemporary art exhibition, dubbed ``Good Morning Vietnam, Good Morning Korea,'' will be held from Oct. 23 to Nov. 3 at the Gallery Areum in the Korea Foundation Cultural Center in Sunhwa-dong, Seoul.

The Korea Foundation Cultural Center, the Korean Cultural Service and the Embassy of Korea in Vietnam are organizing the exhibit.

The exhibition is to commemorate the 15th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Vietnam, and will display 50 pieces of art by 11 Vietnamese and eight Korean artists.

Ireland Photo Exhibition on Ireland

The Embassy of Ireland in Korea will hold an exhibition of 50 photographs, ``Ireland, the Mysterious Country,'' at the Gallery Nuri in the Korea Foundation Cultural Center from Oct. 23-31.

Dominican Republic Dominican Film Series

The Embassy of the Dominican Republic will present four Dominican movies from Oct. 22-25 at the Korea Foundation Cultural Center in Sunhwa-dong, Seoul. Films being screened include ``Nueva Yol(New York) I and III'' and ``El Circulo Vicioso'' (Vicious Circle). Curtain time is at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. during the event. Romania Romanian Photo and Handicrafts Exhibition

The Embassy of Romania will hold an exhibition, ``Sibiu, the European Capital of Culture 2007,'' at the Moon Gallery in Sookmyung Women's University from Oct. 22-31. Sibiu is a city in Romania.

The exhibition features 33 photos of Sibiu and 33 Romanian handicraft works that are on loan from the Romanian Ministry of Culture.

Professor Park Jeong-o, vice dean of the College of East Central European Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, will attend the opening ceremony.

Italy Italian Language Week

Annual Italian Language Week Worldwide begins today until Oct. 28 with many cultural activities in universities and galleries in Seoul, Busan and Ansan.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs created the language week in 2001. This year's theme is ``The Italian Language and the Sea.''

Seogang University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, and the Busan University for Foreign Studies will present a selection of Italian movies throughout the week.

On Oct. 25, the Traid New Media Gallery in Seoul will coordinate a meeting between the Korean and Italian artists. On Oct. 26, Maestro Paolo di Capua will donate one of his sculptures to the Hanyang University Ansan Campus. Also a writing contest award ceremony will take place on Oct. 24 in Seoul and Oct 25 in Busan.
