The agency for actor Ko Hyun-jung, NS ENM, said Tuesday that they would take legal action against individuals responsible for malicious comments targeting the actor.

"We have been consistently monitoring malicious comments and reckless slander online. Through ongoing surveillance, we are addressing defamatory remarks, personal attacks and the spread of false information targeting our artist with legal measures," it said in a statement.

On Oct. 19, Ko Hyun-jung shared behind-the-scenes stories from filming "The Great Queen Seondeok" (2009) on her YouTube channel, recalling how intense it was working with director Park Hong-kyun, even describing a "genuinely dangerous moment."

She added that after not seeing each other for months, they met and laughed, knowing how intense it had been, and expressed her fondness for Park, saying, "I miss director Park."

However, some media outlets suggested a rift between them, which Ko dismissed as "fabricated," expressing discomfort with how the situation was portrayed.

"The baseless defamation and dissemination of false information directed at our artist is a clear criminal act, and it has caused significant damage to her reputation. We will respond to these actions without leniency under any circumstances," the agency said.

NS ENM also urged the public to maintain respectful boundaries, stating, "Please refrain from engaging in malicious slander and respect the dignity of individuals. It is crucial to stop actions that go beyond ethical lines."
