Actress Son Ye-jin shares first photo of her baby boy

Actress Son Ye-jin has given the world a first glimpse of her baby boy nicknamed Alkong.

On Tuesday, she shared a photo of Alkong's hand on Instagram next to her pet dog's paw, drawing a flood of responses in the comments section from her fans in Korea and across the globe and other celebrities.

Son and her husband, fellow actor Hyun Bin, are one of the most influential power couples in Korea, and their newborn son has become a subject of great interest for many. Son's close friends in the industry including actresses Lee Min-jung and Song Yoon-ah also left comments on Son's latest Instagram post.

Son and Hyun were married last March and welcomed their first child in November. Son said becoming a mother was a major growing experience and thanked her husband for helping her through the process every step of the way.

The actress has taken a break from her career following the birth of her son and is said to be deliberating over her next project while she concentrates on being a full-time mother for now.
