EXO's Suho to return to small screen with Han Ji-min and Lee Min-ki

Singer and actor Kim Jun-myeon, better known as Suho from the K-pop boy group EXO, will return to the small screen with JTBC's new comedy detective series “Behind your Touch.” He will star alongside actors Han Ji-min and Lee Min-ki.

This will be his first TV spot in about five years since he played the lead role in the 2018 romance series “Rich Man.”

Scheduled to premiere on Aug. 12, the new series revolves around a peaceful small town in the countryside. The town's busybody, veterinarian Bong Ye-boon (Han Ji-min), unexpectedly gains a special ability that allows her to see the past of animals and people. She uses her ability and teams up with Moon Jang-yeol (Lee), a detective from Seoul. Together they solve a series of minor crimes, only to find themselves entangled in a serial murder case.

Director Kim Suk-yoon, whose previous work includes the 2022 melodrama “My Liberation Notes,” reunites with scriptwriter Lee Nam-kyu after four years since they worked together on the 2019 series “The Light in Your Eyes.”

In the series, Kim portrays Kim Sun-woo, a newcomer from outside the town who works at a convenience store. He captivates Bong with his nice smile and manners, but there's an air of mystery surrounding him.

“I've always admired director Kim's works. It's meaningful and gratifying to be a part of this project,” Kim said. “I was happy to work with the actors that I respect and (the series) was more meaningful as this was the first acting I have done in a while.”

Han also added: “I put in my best effort and passion while preparing for and participating in the series. Thanks to director Kim, writer Lee, the cast and crew, we were able to complete 'Behind Your Touch.'”

Lee portrays a passionate and ambitious detective who has been demoted from Seoul to a small rural town. He is constantly looking for opportunities in the neighborhood that can help him return to Seoul.

When a serial murder case arises, he utilizes Bong's special ability to crack the case.

“I was truly grateful to be Jang-yeol and have the opportunity to meet Ye-boon and Sun-woo on set and was honored to work with co-stars, the director and our staff,” he said. “I had a deep sense of gratitude during the filming, and now that it's over, these memories become even more precious. I too am excited and eagerly awaiting (the series') premiere.”
