Actor Kim Byeong-ok was caught driving under the influence of alcohol on Tuesday, according to Bucheon Wonmi Police Station in Gyeonggi Province.
Police booked Kim without detention on suspicion of violating the traffic law.
He was caught drunk driving in the parking lot of an apartment block in Bucheon at 12:58 a.m. He had a blood-alcohol level of 0.085 percent, which exceeds the license revocation limit. A resident of the apartments called police after spotting Kim's car moving in an “odd” way.
Kim told police he used a chauffeur service to get home, but parked the car himself.
“Drunk driving is wrong,” he said in an interview, Tuesday. “I am sorry for raising a stink.”
Kim debuted in the film “The Classic” in 2003 and rose to fame after taking villain roles in several works including “Sympathy For Lady Vengeance” in 2005. He is appearing in JTBC TV series “Legal High.”
