Yoon, 46, took a photo of himself and the woman at a cafe in Seoul without her consent and posted the picture on Instagram, where he has more than 21,000 followers, Thursday. He wrote, “There are only two people here, but she has zero interest in me.”
Many people immediately criticized him for being “ignorant,” saying he should not have posted the face of a non-public figure without consent.
After the issue came into the spotlight, Yoon apologized. “I should have known better. I'm sorry,” he said.
The issue happened at a time when “spycam porn” is emerging as a sensitive issue in Korea. Some people said he should personally apologize to the woman for invading her privacy.
“It seems that the comedian didn't do it intentionally, but his behavior may have hurt her feelings,” a netizen wrote.
After his fans complained on Instagram, Yoon deleted the picture.
