South Korea’s popular TV variety show “Running Man” celebrates its seventh anniversary this week with a special episode on Sunday.

Adding to the occasion, the show’s fans in Latin America have sent a “gift bomb” to mark the milestone.

According to broadcaster SBS, the program’s producer, a package of gifts weighing 20 kilograms and a congratulatory wreath were delivered to the company on July 10. They were purchased and sent by fans in Mexico, Argentina, El Salvador and Peru.

An SBS official said the special episode’s opening scene features the gifts in a show of appreciation to the avid Latin American fans.

“Receiving gifts from Asian fans is not news, but it’s rare to receive them from Latin America,” the official said.

“Running Man” has one of the largest TV show fandoms online, with over 2 million likes on Facebook and 1.3 million on Instagram.
