Vietnam adopts Korean parenting reality show

A Vietnamese version of Korean parenting reality show “Oh! My Baby” will air in the Southeast Asian nation in December.

The show, which documented the families of several Korean celebrities and their young children, first aired on Korean TV broadcaster SBS in January 2014. It ended last August after viewers lost interest.

The Vietnamese version was made with local production company Lime Entertainment. The show will be broadcast in weekend prime time on HTV2, Vietnam’s most popular television channel, SBS said.

The cast includes prominent local figures such as model Xuan Lan, actor Huy Khanh and singer Dang Khoi and their families.

“Local viewers will be moved and entertained at the same time by the unprecedented high-quality show,” SBS said.

“We intend to export the content that we produce with full capacity to other Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand and Myanmar.”
