Gong Minzy, a former member of K-pop band 2NE1, has revealed her feelings about leaving the band in a handwritten letter on her Instagram page, Thursday.
“I want to say sorry first to my fans who have been concerned about my decision to leave the band,” she wrote. “After a long pondering, I decided to stand before you as Gong Minzy, not a member of 2NE1.”
The singer also said she cherishes her time as a band member and will talk more about her future later.
Gong said last month she would be leaving the band and entertainment agency YG. YG said then it understood her position and the difficult period she went through while the band was inactive for two years.
