Hollywood stars delight fans in Seoul

Recent visits by Hollywood stars Chloe Moretz and Hugh Jackman to Seoul last week have excited fans online, offline and on TV.

American actress Moretz, who visited Thursday, appeared as a guest on

late-night live TV sketch comedy show “SNL Korea 7” on tvN Saturday

. She also appeared on Sunday on the network’s variety show “Problematic Men,” on which invited guests known for being smart are challenged to solve brain-teasing problems.

Multiplayer online shooter game “Sudden Attack” recently hired Moretz as its model. Her Seoul schedule reportedly includes promoting the game, according to reports.

Australian actor Jackman visited Korea on Monday, to mark the release of the star’s latest movie “Eddie the Eagle.” The movie is a British-American biographical sports drama about Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, the first British skier to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping in 1988. Jackman stars as Bronson Peary, who coaches Edwards (Taron Egerton).

On Monday, Jackman posted on Twitter a 10-second video greeting his fans in Korea.

The video shows him seated on a plane delivering the message in a mixture of English and Korean.

His latest tweets include a photo of his pet dog “Allegra” wearing a traditional Korean clothes “hanbok.” The tweet said “Allegra wishes she were in Korea too!”

Accompanied by director Dexter Fletcher, Jackman held a press conference at the Four Seasons hotel in Gwanghwamun district, Seoul, Monday.

On the same day, he also participated in a red carpet event at CGV cinema chain inside IFC Mall in Yeouido, Seoul. Later in the day, he was interviewed on JTBC’s “Newsroom,” hosted by Sohn Suk-hee.
