“Mukbang,” also known as “eating broadcast” is no longer a new trend in Korea.
Mukbang is a combination of the words “muk-da,” meaning “eat” in Korean, and “bang-song,” meaning “broadcast.”
A broadcaster nicknamed “Thief Cat” has streamed non-stop 24-hour pictures of stray cats being fed. The pictures were on Popcon TV, a real-time video streaming website.
