New TV reality program “Great Expectation” has become a hit with its emotional dramatization of three musicians realizing the importance of their families and appreciating their daily hardships.

The MBC show on Monday portrayed singer Yoon Bo-mi from idol girl band Apink, rapper San E and guitarist Kim Tae-won from rock band Boohwal spending time with their families, whom the celebrities have neglected because of their busy schedules.

Yoon ran a supermarket for a day to help her mother who has been operating the store.

San E accompanied his father who works as cleaner in the U.S.

Kim got closer to his mentally challenged son by being on a stage with him during a performance.

A media report said the program “successfully drew tears and sympathy from TV viewers,” and, because of the positive reviews, will likely continue on MBC, although it was originally planned just to air during the Chuseok holiday season.
