Dozens of artists from South Korea and abroad will perform at an international music fair taking place in Seoul next month, organizers said Tuesday.
The line-up for the Seoul International Music Fair 2015, also known as MU:CON Seoul 2015, consists of 51 artists including South Korean idol groups such as B1A4, Girlfriend and MAMAMOO, Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) said.
Other popular South Korean artists to be featured are Hyukoh, Kiha & The Faces, Guckkasten and ALi. Joe Flizzow, Hoolahoop and The KDMS will represent the U.S., Indonesia and Malaysia, respectively.
The festival will take place from Oct. 6-8 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in eastern Seoul. It consists of a conference, showcase events and biz-matching sessions for music industry professionals.
Part of the showcase events will be Song Camp in which South Korean and non-South Korean musicians collaborate to produce a song.

Workshops led by Jimmy Douglas, who produced for Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones; David Hazan, a marketing expert who has worked for The Orchard, MTV and Universal Music; and Kim Hong-ki, a mobile and social marketing expert who has worked at Loen, Naver and KAKAO Music will be held between Oct. 7 and 8.
The biz-matching portion of the festival is comprised of a networking party and one-on-one business counseling sessions between music industry professionals and the participating artists.
The fact that the annual festival has made it to its fourth year suggests its growing influence, Song Seong-gak, head of KOCCA, said.
"MU:CON has helped participating artists become more globally successful, with its influence growing to match that of other international music fairs," he said. (Yonhap)
