A Greek guest on
TV entertainment talk show “Abnormal Summit”
became emotional on Monday when talking about his cash-strapped father.
Andreas Varsakopoulos, 26, said on the JTBC show that his father, who runs a private school teaching English in Greece, called him recently and asked for money. The school had no students because the nation is going through a financial crisis and the father was desperate for financial support from his son, he said on the show.

“It must be difficult for any parent to ask their children for money,” Varsakopoulos said with tears in his eyes.
The guest explained the seriousness of daily life in Greece, saying that local banks across the nation now limit each citizen to withdraw 60 Euros ($65) or less per day.
Inviting national representatives from 12 different countries, the weekly program talked on Monday about the economic situation in their countries.
