Singer Lee Ji-eun, whose stage name goes by IU, renewed her contract with Loen Entertainment, her original management company, without receiving a contract deposit.

Lee, 23, recently signed a new three-year contract with the company as her existing nine-year contract with the company expires in coming September, local news outlets said Wednesday. The reports highlighted the fact that she didn’t receive the contract deposit from the company and praised her “fidelity.”

An insider from Loen was quoted by one of the reports as saying “We appreciate Lee for coming back to us and believing in us by not receiving the contract deposit.”

Lee, who debuted in 2008 with Loen, has made many K-pop hits, including “Good Day” and “You and I,” and is considered one of the hottest K-pop singers in Korea. She is currently appearing in KBS TV series “The Producers.”
