K-pop boy group 2PM was selected as the cover page model of Japan’s popular fashion magazine CanCam, according to JYP Entertainment on Monday.
This is the first time in 12 years and seven months for a male entertainer ㅡ regardless of nationality and profession ㅡ to appear on the monthly magazine’s cover, it said.
“2PM members are very masculine and suitable models for the magazine,” a CanCam editor was quoted as saying in a release. The six-member band will release its third full-length album “Genesis of 2PM” on Jan. 29.
Prior to the release, it made public two songs ㅡ “Step by Step” and “Merry-go-round” ㅡ early this month. The band will also stage a concert in Nagoya on Jan. 27.
