Rock band DAY6's Wonpil held a concert bearing the same name as his March album "Unpiltered" last weekend, living up to its title with a performance that left nothing hidden.
From reinventing himself as a dancer to showcasing delicate piano skills, the singer filled his second solo concert, "WONPIL SOLO CONCERT 'Unpiltered,'" with a charm that swung between extremes at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in southeastern Seoul.
The Sunday show marked the final night of a three-day run that began Friday, and came roughly four years after his first solo concert in March 2022.
A few minutes past 5 p.m., the singer opened the evening with high energy solo tracks "Toxic Love" and "Already Grown Up." Having fully displayed his credentials as DAY6's keyboardist and vocalist, he closed the opening set with a promise to show fans who he is — unfiltered.
"You'll be seeing a lot of new sides of me tonight," he said. "What 'My Day' (DAY6's official fandom) knows of me isn't the whole picture." He drew laughter from the crowd as he added, "I'm actually a pretty rough person. I'm not someone who's always smiling or always being cute."

True to his word, Wonpil delivered a set that spanned a wide range of genres and moods.
For "Wedding Song," "So This Is Love," "Hold My Love" and "Up All Night," he took the stage alongside a group of dancers, showcasing clean moves that traced back to his idol trainee days. His playful expressions pulled roars from the crowd throughout the performance.
His piano stages were equally striking. Performing a string of solo tracks alongside DAY6 classics, the singer pelt through "Piano" and "Like a Flowing Wind," his fluid playing amplifying the depth of each song. "You Were Beautiful" brought one of the night's loudest moments, with fans filling the arena in a sweeping singalong.
He then moved through "Stranded," "A Writer in a Love Story" and "Wish," building toward something hopeful before closing with "Highs and Lows," the title track from the "Unpiltered" album.

As the concert wound down, Wonpil looked back on his first solo show, "Pilmography," describing it as a bittersweet memory.
"Back then, I was about to enlist, and there was still the COVID-19 situation, so my heart was heavy ... Doing this concert now has given me a chance to let it all out. I was a little sad back then, but I'm not anymore. I'm happy."
He also reflected on the added weight of returning for a second solo run.
"While preparing the album, I really wanted to show new sides of myself, and I was happy throughout the process. There were times when the songs just wouldn't come together, but I thought of it as the fate of a creator and kept working."

Wonpil also spoke warmly about DAY6, who showed up in person to cheer him on. Members Sungjin and Dowoon were spotted in the audience waving light sticks.
"We are family and fellow soldiers," Wonpil said. "Everyone's busy right now, with a Macau concert coming up next week. I'm grateful they made time to come out and support me. Without the members, there is no me. I'll keep working hard so I can continue making great music together with Sungjin, Dowoon, and Young K."
With Sunday's performance bringing Wonpil's second solo concert to a close, DAY6 now turns its attention to upcoming shows in Macao on May 9, Busan on May 16-17 and Kobe, Japan, on June 20-21.
