Planning to attend a concert soon? Whether it’s your first show or your 10th, here are must-have essentials to make your experience smooth, fun and unforgettable.

1. Phone

A smartphone with a high-quality camera is a must so you can capture your favorite moments even from far away. If your ticket is digital, your phone also doubles as your entry pass, so don’t forget it.

2. Passport / ID

Some concerts require ID checks to match the name on your ticket. Bring a valid ID (especially as a tourist) just in case.

3. Wallet (card or money)

From snacks and drinks to exclusive merchandise, you’ll likely want to buy something. Keep a card or some cash for your purchases.

4. Light stick

It’s not a K-pop concert without a light stick. Make sure it’s fully charged or has fresh batteries before you go.

5. Power bank

One of the most important items for concertgoers is a power bank. Recording videos, taking photos and navigating the area will drain your battery so make sure to keep one on hand.

6. Water

Staying hydrated is key for long concerts. Check venue rules beforehand as some places don’t allow outside drinks.

7. Protein bar

Keep your energy up during concerts. A small snack like a protein bar is especially helpful if you’re prone to low blood sugar during long waits.

8. Weather essentials

Always check the forecast before heading out. If the venue is located outside, take sunscreen, a fan or a hat. If it is likely to rain, pack a rain jacket and a small umbrella.

9. Transit card

If you’re using public transportation, don’t forget your transit card. It’ll save you time and make traveling to and from the venue much easier.

10. Bag

Many venues have strict bag policies. Make sure to check the allowed bag size before packing. A clear or compact bag helps you get through security faster and keeps things convenient.

Optional items

1. Concert boots

Concert boots are not required, but are popular among shorter fans. A little extra height can make a big difference in your view.

2. Photo cards

Decorating your bag with your favorite idol’s photo cards or keychains for that extra fan spirit is popular among concertgoers.

The most important rule is to pack light! In order to fully enjoy the concert, packing light is the best way to have fun while having free hands to jump around, record and enjoy the concert to the fullest.
