The group announced the upcoming album on social media, sharing a timeline for the promotional schedule, including the dates for the track list, concept photos and posters, leading up to the album's release.

The 11th mini-album comes about six months after “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1,” which was released last May.

“This is the second story of 'GOLDEN HOUR' and captures Ateez’s way of expressing love,” the group’s agency KQ Entertainment said in the release.

“Ateez unveiled the first chapter of the 'GOLDEN HOUR' series with ‘GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1,’ delivering the shining moments that ATEEZ will create and unfold in the future.”

The group’s previous album landed on various global music charts, scoring second on the Billboard 200 chart and fourth on the U.K’s Official Album chart, as well as first on Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking.

The eight-piece act — composed of leader Hongjoong, members Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho — debuted with the EP "Treasure EP.1: All to Zero” in 2018 and has been achieving career milestones with hit songs, such as “Pirate King” (2018), “Wonderland” (2019) and “Answer” (2020).

The group recently wrapped up its North American tour, “TOWARDS THE LIGHT : WILL TO POWER,” in August, meeting over 200,000 fans. During the tour, the members also performed at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the first K-pop boy group to put on a show at the venue.

Ateez is slated to continue the tour in Europe, being the first K-pop act to perform at La Defense Arena in France, which holds up to 40,000 spectators.
