Le Sserafim scores career-high records with 'CRAZY'

K-pop girl group Le Sserafim is setting new career records with the latest album, "CRAZY."

Billboard announced that the title track of Le Sserafim's fourth mini-album, "CRAZY," released on August 30, debuted at No. 76 on its Hot 100 chart on Monday. This is the second time the group has made it onto the chart this year.

This breaks the group's previous record of No. 99 with "EASY," released in February, and is the highest ranking of the year by a K-pop girl group.

"'Hot 100' chart ranks songs based on comprehensive factors, including physical and digital sales of the single, streaming counts, radio airplay scores and YouTube views. So, the entry into this chart directly correlates with an artist's standing in the United States," the group's agency, Source Music, said in a release.

"Le Sserafim has proven that its achievements in the U.S. market are not a one-time and have collected its rewards of continuous growth."

The new album also debuted at No. 7 on Billboard's main albums chart and set the group's highest sales record in the United States with 38,000 albums and 9,000 album-equivalent units sold, totaling 47,000.

This is the group's third consecutive album to make the top 10 chart, following their first full album, "UNFORGIVEN," which reached No. 6, and their third mini-album, "EASY," which peaked at No. 8.

The group also saw its best streaming count and ranking on the streaming platform Spotify, landing at No. 83 on its Weekly Top Song chart in the U.S., with the title track setting the record streaming count of 3.36 million after release.

"CRAZY" also earned the group its entry into the U.K. Official Charts' main ranking, the Official Singles Chart Top 100, for the first time since its debut.

The song ranked No. 83 on the chart and landed at 14th and 15th on the Singles Downloads and Single Sales Chart, respectively, a huge jump from its previous record with "EASY."

The new album consists of five tracks, including the house genre title song. On Monday, the group released a remix version of "CRAZY," collaborating with French DJ David Guetta.

"Le Sserafim has been expanding its musical spectrum by showcasing new genres with each of its releases. 'CRAZY' was created in the EDM-based house music, which is familiar to global music audiences and most suitable to convey the album's message of 'Let's go crazy together,'" the agency said.

The group is set to perform at the pre-show of this year's MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday at New York's UBS Arena.

The five-piece act — comprised of Kim Chae-won, Sakura, Hong Eun-chae, Huh Yun-jin and Kazuha — debuted in 2022 with "FEARLESS" as the first girl group under HYBE, instantly rising to stardom.

The group has been releasing a string of hits, including "ANTIFRAGILE" (2023), "Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard's wife" (2023) and "Perfect Night" (2023).
