“Strawberry Moon,” a new digital single by singer-actress IU, will arrive on Oct. 19, according to her management company, EDAM Entertainment, Friday.

EDAM took to IU's official Twitter account to float a new teaser in the form of a tabloid English newspaper. The teaser includes a headline that reads, “IU's 'strawberry moon' that makes love come true will rise,” as well as an image of a couple holding hands. Under another heading ― “Different names to call a full moon” ― a photo shows IU holding a camera.

The agency unveiled the first teaser on Oct. 5, featuring IU sitting on a giant ice cream. A pink moon and a rainbow, which together create a dreamy mood, are visible in the background of the picture.

It has taken about seven months for IU to drop a new song, after releasing her fifth full-length album, “Lilac,” in March.

IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, debuted in 2008 with the ballad, "Mia," at the age of 15, and has put out numerous hits, including, "Good Day" (2010) and "Twenty-three" (2015). She also has been pursuing an acting career since 2011, having starred in popular dramas such as, "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" (2016) and "Hotel Del Luna" (2019).
