Former Wanna One member Yoon Ji-sung will hold a fan event on Christmas Day, the singer's first fan event since he was discharged from the military on Sunday.
LM Entertainment, the artist's agency, announced Monday that Yoon will hold an online fan meeting called “Christmas story” on Dec. 25 at 6 p.m. The event will be streamed exclusively through the Interpark website.
“During his last fan meeting before he joined the Army, fans expressed their hope to have the same event on Christmas Day when he gets discharged,” it said. “So we're holding this event to keep that promise.”
The singer, 29, joined the Army band and served as a member until he completed his 19-month mandatory duty.
Yoon expressed gratitude to his fans through a handwritten letter, saying, “I've had some difficult and lonely times, but I was able to get through with your love and support.”
He came into the spotlight while competing on Mnet's popular K-pop audition show "Produce 101" in 2017. He made his debut as part of the project group Wanna One after becoming one of 11 finalists on the show.
Since the group disbanded, he made his solo debut with first album “Aside” in February 2019.
