BLACKPINK to release first full-length album in September

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK is set to make a comeback with its first full-length album, slated to be released in September.

The group's agency YG Entertainment said Monday that the quartet had completed recording more than 10 tracks for the album.

Adding that the title song would be pre-released in June, YG said, “The members are now working on choreography and the music video.”

The agency also revealed that another track from the album would be pre-released between July and August.

The album will be the group's first since its EP “KILL THIS LOVE” in April 2019.

“As this is the first full-length album, we will be releasing it in three steps,” YG said. “This will provide more chances than ever for the group to present performances and content to the fans.”

The four-member group ― Jennie, Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo ― shot to stardom after it debuted in 2016. Its hit songs include "Whistle" (2018) and "PLAYING WITH FIRE" (2016).
